Popup Note's Date/Time changes on Save/Reply...

Using build 199.

When adding a popup note, the date/time in the "title bar" will be updated every time you Save or Add A Reply.

Steps to reproduce:

Add a note.
Open the popup note.
Notice the date/time and add it into the text area of the note so you can reference it later.
Save - notice the date/time has changed.
Add a Reply.
Save - again the date/time has changed.

I've seen it where the current Reply as well as the main note's date/time have changed.

This is bad behavior as you loose track of any auditing and history that the date/time affords you.

Hate to bug you too much but when are you targeting the next update? The data corruption bug mentioned here is halting me from rolling out my product to my customers -the date/time any user makes an update to a document is audited for legal purposes.

If not an official release, can I get a really stable intermediate build?

Different in build 200. The behavior has changed.

Add an annotation with a note.
Open the note if not already open.
Write the date/time of the note into the note for later reference.
-- click out side of the note and the date/time will change to "now"
The date/time will remain fixed in time from this point on until you modify the note again.

Personally I like this behavior. Compare it to Acrobat:

Add an annotation with a note.
Open the note if not already open.
Write the date/time of the note into the note for later reference.
-- click out side of the note - nothing changes.
-- Close and Save the document - the date/time gets updated. And bonus, you never realized it changes as it happened as the document was being saved and closed.

So, while this does not work the same as Acrobat, I think it works MUCH BETTER, therefore I consider this fixed. Thank you!

Sorry to say my QA department found another issue with the Date/Time on Notes and Replies.

Basically if you open a PDF with Notes on it and open the Comments Pane you will be able to compare the Date/Time on the Comments Pane with the Popup Notes. If you are lucky they will be the same. Now if you edit the popup notes and add a few replies (say to an existing reply and to the original note), you will notice the date/time values in the Comments Pane are now different from those of the popup notes. It is almost as if one is showing Date Created while the other is showing Date Modified. Either way, this is incorrect behavior. I have reproduced this in 2.5.199 and 2.5.200. I have not reproduced in Acrobat 9 Pro.

Let me know if you want me to give you exact reproduction steps if that was not enough.
