URLs in PDFs
When printing to PDF with pdfFactory, plain URLs are 'live' in the PDF but those that have been altered to be just a name etc. aren't. I realise that a full URL has a recognisable format but wondered if there's any way of printing a PDF so that PDF-XChange Viewer could 'see' it.

Re: URLs in PDFs
Hello Giraffe,
You will need your PDF converter to support recognizing such "hidden" links like e.g. our PDF XChange Standard printing drivers:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... e-standard
They come with a IE and MS office add-ins that are able to "scan" and recognize such hidden links and convert and include them in the PDF document.
Or you can manually create links with our PDF XChange Viewer in an already existing PDF file.
Best,
Stefan

Re: URLs in PDFs
Thank you, Stefan.
Looks like the latter way as I've tried many PDF printers and the current one is by far the most useable that I've found.
I'll give yours a try anyway.

Re: URLs in PDFs
If you are evaluating this I strongly suggest you evaluate the Standard Print Driver and it's "Office Addin" - it does a lot of work after creating the PDF parsing the Office file and adding links, bookmarks and more based on your Office document structure. It will allow you to create PDFs with much more functionality than File --> Print.
You can evaluate this as well as all out other PDF Software using the Pro Bundle. Just be sure that you work with copies of your documents while in 'Trial' mode as it will add water marks to your documents and these water marks cannot be removed even with a licensed product.
