I mainly provide support for our SDK developers, so I am not as familiar with all the functionality of the viewer and end user tools as our end user support staff are. The reason I'm mentioning this is that there may be a better way than what I am going to suggest to you, and I will refer your question on in case there is, but in the meantime I have found a workaround that will let you do this. You can right-click the text box input area to bring up a context menu, with one option called "Text Formatting". When you click this option, a sub menu with all of the formatting options (bold, italics, subscript, superscript, etc) is displayed. You can use this to change the formatting of text you select with your mouse inside the text input box.
So if you continue to type after your subscript section (it will appear subscript, but nevermind for now), then you can select that newly typed portion and right click to reveal the Text Formatting menu. Select "Clear Text Formatting" and you will find your selection is reverted to normal. You can then continue to type after the selection in normal mode. So, for example, I could type:
Code: Select all
word is superscript
the third
Code: Select all
word
the third is superscript
You will find that either way will allow you to superscript or subscript a portion and then continue typing in normal formatting afterwards.
As I've said, there may be another method, and I will refer your question to our end user support team for them to weigh in on this.

Walter,
I have actually used both methods, but thanks for suggesting them.
Please refer the question to end user support team after Christmas

Okay, I will pass this on for input from our end user support team.

Re: How to change back from sub/supscript to normal font?
Hello Bob,
If you have text in superscript simply select it and press Ctrl-Shift-NumPad Plus once again, or Ctrl-Shift-NumPad Minus if you have text in subscript respectively.
There is also the "Clear text formatting" command - which does not have a shortcut command associated with it by default - but you could access it through the context menu for selected text (right click) or assign a shortcut to it. Clearing the formatting will change the font to Arial and clear any colour, super/sub script, etc.
Best,
Stefan

But CTRL SHIFT Numpad+/- works as page (document) rotation on my machine. I didn't change it, so is this default behavior contradicts what you said?

Hello Bob,
If you have a portion of text inside a text tool selected (as on the screenshot attached) - the key combination will work as explained above. If you are outside of the text tool - then the same key combination will be used for rotating the page.
Best,
Stefan
