Adobe LiveCycle Designer support...

Post by DSSavant »

I must admit that from a user's perspective, Adobe LIveCycle Designer is not bad. From a developer's though, it really tanks.

I have a PDF where the "CurrentDate" form field is not being set when the document loads in the Tracker viewer. I have tried to examine the PDF to see if it is the "document load" scripting or ??? that is not being honored. For that much, since the Designer changes the permissions on the PDF such that I cannot remove them and even see any of the javascript, there is very little diagnosing I can do.

I know that the viewer supports javascript in the document as I have seen it work before. Any idea what is going on here?

The PDF is attached.
2.5.199 - does not set the date.
2.5.200 - does not set the date.
Acrobat 9 Pro does.

This is not a screaming, hot deal. Just would like to know what is going on.

This XFA form using FormCalc scripting language which is not supported in V2.5
V3 of the viewer supports FormCalc in XFA forms.
