When looking for updates via the Help menu, I always get the following message:
Your installation is current - no update is available.
What can be the reason for this behaviour?
No update possible with PDF XChange Viewer 2.0 PRO

Hi gshybrid,
If you are recieving this msg it means that there are no update availables. In the case of version 2.0 this is quite true, it has reached the end of it's lifecycle. I recommend upgrading to version 2.5. At this time it is still recieving new builds of fixes and upgrades. I have pasted a link to the installer below.
