I'm trying to print up a copy of Frankenstein, a PDF I downloaded from Google Books: http://books.google.com/books/about/Fra ... wBAAAAQAAJ
Problem is, I want to print two of these small pages on one of my 8.5x11 inch pages, and I can get PDFXChange to do this, but it insists on printing them only by cramming them across teh top of a page that is vertically aligned (portrait style, as MS Word would have it)---in other words, I want to get the pages to print out in landscape mode, with them filling up the entire page, instead of just the top half of the page that has the 8.5 inch section along the top and bottom edges.
How can I do this?
EDIT: For those not familiar with Google Books, if you would like to d/l a copy yourself, you can click that little gear sign on the right side of teh page, and a PDF download is one option that becomes available.

Re: Printing multiple pages--not rotating to a landscape
Hi prr,
I believe all you need to do here is rotate the paper in your printer driver properties. Correct me if I am wrong but I think this is your case.
I set that document to print using "Multiple Pages Per Sheet and 2 pages per sheet. By default my printer was set tp portrait and if I understand you correctly I think your problem is that you have this, the paper is oriented wrongly:

The fix I have is to now go to your printer properties using the button indicated and change the orientation of the paper from portrait to landscape:

on closing that printer preference box my print job is now what I want.

Does that help?

Excellent
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

But why is that really necessary?
Other software can do this without making the user do this hassle each time.
Can you fix that in PDFviewer please? Or at least offer an option to choose port./landscp. so it works?
thanks

Hi tschneider,
I'm not entirely certain if there is a technical reason for doing this the way it is done right now or not. I'll ask my development team and let you know if this is something we can/will change.

Paul
that' be great.
Btw, if I am allowed to give a suggestion, just an idea, but as you may have guessed I am lazy and that is
the reason why I use computers and am interested in them
"I would implement a tiny preview of the scaling options. Right now when you press strg+P and enter the
print options you see at the bottom left the page scaling options and on the right the very nice preview.
However, you have to go with your mouse into the rolldown menu and look for the scaling option you like to
opt for. At the moment you offer 8 options. Great.
But for me and may be other it would be nice if we could for example say we have two favorites of those eight
options. Whatever we choose as favorites: show us these two a mini thumbnail and the rest in the pulldown menu.
I know of no other program that has this but would add efficiency and eye candy.
Thanks alot and a geat Day

Hi tschneider,
thanks for your suggestions I have added them to the wish list. When or if they are added as features will be determined as we get closer to V3, the development of which is a priority right now.
I hope that helps.
