When I print I get boxes
Hi. I have created a fillable pdf with Adobe Pro and I am usins PDF-XChanger to fill out the pdf so that I am able to save it and be ablr to go back and make changes. The problem I am having is that the information that I type into the fillable areas, when printed to not look the same as on the form. Everything typed in is rinted as squares. Not sure if I am going ablout this the wrong way or why it prints as squares. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Angels4u,
If the file you are creating is not confidential - it will greatly help if you can archive and attach a copy of it to this topic. Also please check that you have the latest build of our Viewer (currently 2.5.200).

I would love to be able to attach a copy of the, form but unfortunately is is a confidential form.

Please try to set the Print text as curves to always - as on the image attached, and see if this helps. If it doesn't - please do send the file to support@pdf-xchange.com with a link back to this topic - so that it's not publicly available here in the forums - and we will test your file to see what the problem is and then remove it completely from our hard drives.

I get exactly the same issue (PDFXV Pro 2.5 build 200)
Have attached a filled in form plus a picture of the printout (scanned back in to show you).
Note that some fields print the text, others just boxes.
I downloaded Foxit PDF reader and that printed the same form correctly, suggesting its an issue with PDFXV.
I could not see a printer setting that seemed relevant, perhaps Angels4u could share what setting you changed.

Stefan, just noticed your commend about setting print as curves to always.
Just tried that and it worked. Strange as it did not used to be a problem.
So I guess that's it sorted for me too.

Hello grologic ltd,
There was a bug in build 200 that caused this problem, and yes there were a couple of workarounds (closing the file after making modifications to it, and then open and print it straight away, or setting to print text always as curves), but this is now irrelevant as build 201 fixes this problem, so please do make sure to update to it and all will be well.
