Print Dialog Size

Post by MoCommodore »

I have installed the latest PDFXchange Viewer on my nEtbook, which has a screen with 1024x600 resolution. Some parts of the software, especially Print Dialog, are too big to fit in my screen and they are NOT resizable. So, I have not access to certain options, e.g. choosing the printer!
Any solution?

Hello MoCommodore,

I believe that the font size on your netbook is set to something than the smallest setting. Our Viewer uses the system font size - and this causes some of our windows (particularly the printer one) - to not fit properly on small screens. Netbooks are the most affected and the solution is described here:
I have a problem with the Print Dialogue box being larger than my screen

Thank you so much. It ALMOST solved my problem. Is it possible to allow user to set the menu and toolbar fonts less than 8 pt? I think 7 or 6 will solve my problem!

Hello MoCommodore

I am afraid that while the field allows you to type in it (e.g. 7.0) - the minimum once you click apply would be reverted to 8.0.

With 8.0 in both fields you should get a window with dimensions 840x608 px - while 8 pixels more than the vertical on your screen (+ 30 for the windows toolbar if you have it always on) - you should now be able to see all the buttons and drop-downs in the print window.

We are also revamping this window for ver3 of the Viewer, and the main reason to do so are exactly netbooks and their limited screen space.

Best,
Stefan

Thank you Stefan. I'm really happy that you consider netbook users in your design.
