Rectangles don't print

I have a PDF that I wish to PRINT with some text redacted. I don't need the permanent redaction promised for version 3.

I tried two things, but neither works, as the redacted text appears clearly when the file is sent to the printer.

1. I tried covering the text with a black rectangle with 100% opacity.
2. I tried highlighting the text with black.

On screen, either approach seems to work, but in each case, when I print the document, the black covering disappears.

What's up?

Hello Mike,

Please make sure that you have selected to print both the document and the markups you just created. Also make sure to check this KB article we have on the topic:
