Is there any way to set the initial view for a document to have the comments turned off?
Thank you.

Not that I know of.
Learn the shortcuts to Hide All Comments (Ctrl Shift 8) and Show All Comments (Ctrl 8).

Re: How to open with comments off?
When doing a presentation, I do not want the audience to see any comment until I'm ready. It's very disconcerting to see the page appear with comments then disappear.
I'm linking to documents from something else I would really like to have an initial view without them.

Re: How to open with comments off?
Hello Athena,
If before the presentation actually commences you open the file in question and hide the comments (Ctrl-Shift-8) and then save the file - the next time you open it - the comments should not be visible.
Or alternatively most presentation devices have a "pause picture" button - so simply use that while you hide the comments on your computer screen - and then continue with the presentation.
Best,
Stefan

Re: How to open with comments off?
Hi Stefan,
Turning the comments off before saving doesn't work so I ended up triplicating the page so that the first one has no comments, the second one comment and the third has all three. It was a "have to get this done" workaround but I'd like to avoid it next time.
I guess I'll have to find the manual for the projector I'll be using and look into that "pause picture" option.
Thanks.

Thaks for the update Athena,
there is a setting in PDF-XChnage Viewer to 'Restore the last used View of the document. Do you have those set?
