New Document From Scanner

Post by nkm »

When using File->New Document->From Scanner: Capture Pictures from Video (webcam)
a list of previously captured images shows up in the thumbnails section.

Does PDFXchange save these images or is it handled by the Webcam software?
If pdfxcview, where are these images stored/ is it possible to clear this cache?

Hi nkm,

if I understand your description properly then that dialogue is from your device, either the device drivers itself or in many cases Windows (WIA device). PDF-XChnage is not caching those.

Hi, nkm.

PDFXchange Viewer doesn't save scanned images into files in most cases, but when a scanned image is too big then the viewer will create a temporary file. This temp file will be deleted immediately after creating a new pdf-document from scanned images.

In other words - our viewer doesn't use any cache for images from scanner/camera...

Best
Regards.
