Link tool > Add action > parameters

Post by agnieszka wiklendt »

Hi,

I have added a link in my PDF to another PDF.
I would love to be able to open a specific page or specific bookmark in the linked PDF file, but am unsure what parameters to put in the "parameters" field.

Searching the forums has only revealed command line solutions and all the help file says about the parameter field is "Contains parameters for performing a certain operation." (p95 in v2.5x help file)... ok, obvious. but what to enter?

Does anyone have any ideas? I've already unsuccessfully tried a combination of the command line solutions including:

/page=5
/namedest=bookmark name
/namedest="bookmark name"
/namedest=<bookmark name>
namedest= (all the above variants)

Thanks.

Hello agnieszka wiklendt,

Using the link tool to add a link to another document should be pretty straight forward - please check the attached images which should give you an idea of what you will see when you select to add such a link. I do believe that all the settings on the second image are pretty straight forward and clear.

Best,
Stefan
