Hi everyone, 1st post and have a newbie ??
I did a portable install of Viewer, and added a folder titled Help within the directory for Viewer. In that I placed the Help Manual pdf. When I call up Help by either clicking Contents or F1 it opens the help file with another instance of Viewer. My question, is this the correct or default action when opening the Help Manual? I would have thought with the tabs that Help would open in the already open Viewer.
Yes - indeed this is the default behaviour, as if you have noticed the new instance of the Viewer opens with most of the toolbars hidden - this is on purpose as you would generally nto need e.g. annotation tools in a help file but would rather want to search for something and then read how to achieve it in the manual. This is done so that the usable screen space could be maximized. The stand alone (installed) Viewer does the same.
