Delay when opening documents

Would it be possible to accelerate displaying the document when opening it? It takes a while, sometimes too long, with slightly more complex documents. Scrolling up/down only shows blank pages. Not sure if this is possible, but perhaps showing elements progressively so that the user has something to work with while the application is preparing the display might be an alternative if things can't be accelerated. Once the document is displayed, things are faster than Acrobat here, but that initial delay is a major issue.

There are major improvements in this area coming in version 3 and this should assuage most of the issues you report.
