Hello,
Needed a pdf reader.
Adobe: too huge.
Foxit: buggy in newer versions.
Sumatra: good, used for a while but i needed to make notes this time.
PDF XChange Reader:
Was a bit scared because of the eye-symbol and because of the name "tracker software".
But tried it anyway, which turned out to be a good choice.
I like:
* highly configurable menus and buttons [1]
* add clickable sections which can link to other files - so i can create "websites" of pdf files.
* easily create new markers. Created a white rectangle to hide irrelevant stuff - reading docs is fun this way. And i can save it.
* the markers toolbar has nice big buttons, configurable, sortable ...
* marker import from/export to a hackable text format.
* it is fast, it does not hang, it does not do anything it is not supposed to do. It just works.
in short, it is a great software.
Thank you,
Nils
[1] why is not every menu configurable like this ? Just imagine, you could do this with the unholy windose explorer right click context menu ... or with firefox menus ... or ... etc etc etc. Whenever i see such a perfect (that word really fits it) implementation of something i am happy on one side and deeply unhappy on the other side that not everything could be like that...
The PDF Viewer rocks.

HI Nils-Hero,
welcome to the forums.
I'm pleased to hear you like the software and thanks for voicing your opinion! Look for the new version of the Viewer to be released at the end of September, it will sport many new features that I think you will appreciate too!
regards

Hi Nils
Even I am using PDF exchange viewer and I am finding it really very efficient. It has wonderful features which makes it so good and a great alternative to Adobe reader. In my view PDF exchange viewer is much faster and has more rich feature than any other PDF Reader/ PDF Viewer/ PDF Editor available today. Use of PDF exchange Viewer makes it easy to edit/modify or perform simple editing and even OCR Image based PDF files on our windows PC and I am sure its newer version will be even more better with more new features, will have to wait for that till it arrives.
Thank you.
