Automatic Document properties - insert, change and remove

Post by haidelbaer »

for years I have been happily using the same phrases for title, reference, author, keywords - I had someho got it fixed so I did not have to re-enter it every time. Now I need to change this and I cannot find out how. Can you please help?

Hello haidelbaer,

I presume you had those "headers and footers" created when you "Print" a PDF file. If that's true I will move your topic in the correct subforum.

You can set up headers and footers for our printing drivers, and very soon you would be able to create/add such to already existing files using our PDF Editor (PDF XChange Viewer v3 - due for release later this year).

Best,
Stefan

Hi - I am not talking about headers and footers - I am talking about the PROPERTIES - the "Document information". Title, Author, Reference / Subject, Keywords. There is one set that has been made "default". This needs to be removed so the default is empty again.

Hello haidelbaer,

Please take a look at the attached image - are those the settings you are interested in?
If yes - you can edit/configure those through Start -> Devices and Printers (or Printers and Faxes in XP) -> PDF XChange 5 Printer -> Printing preferences -> Document Info

Best,
Stefan
