Watermark on document when using print driver

Post by wilmiester »

Greetings all and thanks in advance,

We're using PDF xChange Pro version 5 When printing to this print driver, documents are watermarked with trial version. We have applied the license code to the viewer. Do I need to apply it somewhere else?

Thanks,

Willis

Hi Willis,

Thank you for your post.
Yes, you need to apply to all the products from the PDF-XChange Pro bundle including PDF-XChange Standard and PDF-Tools. Or if you don't want to do this, just uninstall PDF-XChange Pro from the Control Panel, restart your computer, run the installer and provide the license key when prompted at the installation. After installation finishes, please restart the machine again and everything should be good.
If you are still having trouble with the watermarks, please feel free to send us an email at support@pdf-xchange.com
Thanks.
Sincerely,

He must've had it previously installed and I might not have removed the old version of the viewer. But I uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed PRO, providing the necessary key at the start of the installation. I test printed to the pdf printer and no more water marks.

Thanks.

I will try that too. If this is the answer, then I recommend that the install recommends that we unistall first. No, reversing the page order using
CTRL J and for (i = this.numPages - 1; i >= 0; i--) this.movePage(i);
Still resulted in the watermark. I hope that support comes up with a solution.

Hi Tim,

Yes Uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot is the recommended routine.

Stefan
