Commandline: Start with defined bookmark?

Post by Peter2 »

Hi

is it possible to use commandline-parameters to open a PDF and jump to a predefined bookmark? Like ..

Code: Select all

 PDFXCview.exe /A "bookmark=Chapter 3" mypdffile.pdf

Hi Peter,

Not directly to the bookmark name, but you can open a PDF with a specific named destination being visible - and most bookmarks should usually point to one such. You can check the list of named destinations if you e.g. try to edit a bookmark.

Alternatively you could also open a PDF document at a given page with a specified zoom level.

Best,
Stefan
