I've got PDF XChange Viewer, v2.5.205 installed on a system running XP. Printing to a Lanier LD-255 with the latest PCL6 Universal drives, and the same happens with the latest PCL5 drivers...
On some PDFs, black bars are introduced in the middle and right-edge of the output. It really looks as if no text is lost, just moved over 1-1/2 inches or so.
I am not able to reproduce this under Windows 7/64-bit, but it is consistent on the XP machine.
I've included the original PDF file, as well as a scanned image from the printout that shows what I am getting. It doesn't happen with all PDF files, but if a PDF exhibits the problem it does so all the time. Adobe Acrobat X with the same drivers does not cause this problem; that is what the user of this system is using to get printouts for the problem PDFs right now.
Any suggestions?

Re: Weird bars printed on output
HI Gary,
that look very much like a known issue that was resolved just last week. The fix is to be available in the next build of the Viewer to be released probably tomorrow. (Its is Thanksgiving here today).
Please update your Viewer to build 206 when is is released, test and confirm the fix.

Build 206 did not resolve the problem. At least I've still got some PDF files that display the same symptom, and in this case the problem occurred under Windows 7, 64-bit with a different PDF file.

Re: Weird bars printed on output
Thanks for that Gary,
I can confirm that this is still not right in 206 when printing your file original.pdf. We'll take another look at that. Can you also supply the newer document with which you are seeing this?
There is an open Support Request Ticket about this RT#1637: Black strip across page when printed from Viewer and I have added your file to this ticket. We'll advise here when this has been addressed.
Sincerely

Paul,
I don't mind submitting the file to you folks, but I'd rather not upload it to an open support forum. It contains some confidential information.
It happens that both files were scanned on a copier and then sent to me, very likely on the same device. Adobe Reader has no problem with the file, of course.

Hi Gary,
just email it to support@pdf-xchange.com
Please refer to this thread by URL in your email: https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/ ... 35&t=15701 and maybe a note to explain what it is. That way it won't go missing if I am not here when you send it.
