Black Areas in PDFs

Post by Thorwal »

Hello everybody!

I am from germany currently working on my masterthesis.

I bought pdf xchange viewer in Order to split up chapters, bring in new pages etc. Everything works great, except one thing:

If there are pictures on my pages they are shown normally as long as they are jpgs. If there are former pdfs as pictures the most of it is black. pdf xchange viewer is the only pdf viewer that has this problem with my master-pdf. For better explanation i made a screenshot to illustrate my problem and attached it to this post.

I have no clue where this problem is coming from. I have to finish my work until next week monday so i am quite stressed .

Can anybody help me?

Best regards from Germany
Stephan

Hello Stephan,

Please make sure you have the current latest build (2.5.205):
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVwer.zip

As this error might have already been resolved.

Please also check in the Viewer -> Edit -> Preferences -> Accessibility as some of the options there might make images appear as black boxes - and hide the contents below (and excel loves exporting coloured tables with an image layer on top).

If the problem still happens with build 205 and accessibility options disabled - please attach the actual PDF file that displays incorrectly in our Viewer so that we can test it at our end and make the necessary fixes. If the file is sensitive - send it to support@pdf-xchange.com with a link back to this topic instead of attaching it directly here.

Best,
Stefan
