Hi!
We have a problem with PDF/A-1b generation when we merge two files (using "merge-append to").
The result file is not PDF/A - standard compliant. We check the file with PdfAPilot 2 and the result is:
Document information not clear
The PDF contains inconsistent document information.
Producer mismatch between Document Info and XMP Metadata
----------------------------
Some information to reproduce the problem:
Print first file in PDF/A-1b specification
Print second file in PDF/A-1b specification on the same destination pdf with "Merge - Append to".
I attach two files:
1) Sample.PDF (file with error)
2) Pdfapilot check report.pdf (error report)
The version of PDF-Xchange Driver API is 5.0.265
Best regards
Alessandro

Re: PDF/A 1-b compliance problem
Hi Alessandro,
you are correct that appending a file this way is not guaranteed to keep the PDF/A compliance. This may change when/if we move to an XPS based print driver but will not change for the immediate future.
What you can do however is use PDFSaver5 to manage and append the jobs. This WILL then append and maintain PDF/A compliance.
