Hi there,
I have used PDFXV for many years and the last version, when I clicked on a pdf link in Firefox, opened in the program.
I recently upgraded to the latest version and any web pdf link, now opens in Firefox. I don't have the PDFXV add-on installed and in PDFXV / Properties / File Associations, although I have PDFXV set as the default viewer, 'Display PDF in Browers' is off.
How do I make a web pdf link open in the programand not FF?
Thanks,
Rex

Hello Rex,
Please take a look at these KB articles:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgebase/266
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgebase/320
While they show you how to do the opposite of what you want to achieve - it also points where these settigns are, and you should be able to reverse those and make FireFox open the files directly with our stand alone installed Viewer.
Best,
Stefan

Re: PDFXV in Firefox
Many thanks for your reply. The KB's 'kind of' helped as I already have what I thought to be everything correctly checked.
But I have found the problem and resolved it. Under FF/Tools/Options/File Types, there were multiple entries for opening pdf files. Although the action was to open with PDF-XCV, one of the entries was classed as a 'Firefox Document' to be opened in PDF-XCV. Don't know what a Firefox document is, so I deleted the entry and now pdf files open in the PDF-XCV as I want.
