Stretching a PDF

Post by alig31 »

Hi,

is is possible to 'stretch' a PDF? I have a PDF which is slightly smaller than A4 but want to print it A4 with printing edge to edge. (I will print it on SRA3 and cut it to lose the border the printer needs). At the moment when I print it on SRA3 paper the print is slightly smaller than A4. So I want to 'stretch' the PDF image to exactly A4 when printed.

Thanks in advance

best regards

Al

Hi Al,

All physical printers have an area of the sheet they can't access for printing - doe to the mechanisms needed to move the sheets of paper inside the device, so you can't actually make the printer print to it's very edge, howver if your PDF page is A4, and there's a white border on it as well - you can specify a custom scaling in our Viewer's print dialogue (the default is fit to printer margins), and set it to 100% scale - this will show the unprintable area in red in the print preview - but you will now be able t o print your pages to paper without them being altered in the process.

Best,
Stefan
