Hi,
When you download a pdf file within the Mozilla Firefox Internet Browser, PDF XChange Viewer Pro allows a "Send by email ..." option with an email created with the pdf attachment.
Is there functionality in PDF XChange Viewer Pro to send it to the full PDF XChange Viewer Pro application so all available file manipulations are available?
If not, could this option be available in a future release?
We recently purchased a 25 user license with a 3 year support and this option would minimize the steps required to bring a file into the the full PDF XChange Viewer Pro application. This is critical as were automating and standardizing many steps (file naming and saving, etc.) using a Java application.
Thanks,
LD

Re: PDF XChange Viewer Pro within Internet Browser
Hi LucDesjardins
the Viewer when launched as a plugin in a web browser is the same as the stand alone Viewer. They have the same features and capabilities (almost).
The simplest thing to do would be to set your web browser to not use a PDF associated plugin but prompt to open the file locally.
Is there something specific that you want to do on the PDF that necessitates opening it in the stand alone Viewer?

Re: PDF XChange Viewer Pro within Internet Browser
Yes, I want to use the multiple tabbed documents in the same PDF XChange Viewer Pro so certain downloaded pages can be added in another pdf document already opened in PDF XChange Viewer Pro.
This doesn't seem available of the plugin version within the Mozilla browser.
In the plugin version, is this option not available in the "Edit... Preferences... General...Documents Layout" configuration/setting?
I tried your recommendation of not using a PDF associated plugin and it works, but this is an extra step for the users.

Re: PDF XChange Viewer Pro within Internet Browser
Hi LucDesjardins,
Yes the plug-in will display a single document only, and this is by design - as you are coming from a link and might want to go back to that link - and if you have more than one file opened this will cause all sorts of problems.
If editing of the opened PDF is desired - then you would need to save a local copy and open it in the stand alone Viewer, or set up the browser to directly open links to PDFs in the stand alone Viewer so that they can be used for merging/splitting as required directly.
Best,
Stefan
