Hi, Since installing all my pdf files show as thumbnails, is it possible to just get them just to show as an icon.
I did try the win explorer setting for 'display as thumbnail' but I would like to keep that working for folders and images.

Hi mgb,
If you uninstall our Viewer completely, reboot the PC, and then install once again but make sure to NOT install the Shell Extensions - the thumbnails should disappear. However you will also lose the ability to search inside the text content of PDF files directly from e.g. Windows Explorer.
Best,
Stefan

Hi, I'm afraid that hasn't worked, I have tried the uninstall/install 3 times.
I have noticed that after I uninstall and restart the PC, the PDF documents on the desktop are still showing as thumbnails before I reinstall PDF viewer and the same after install without shell extensions checked.

Hi mgb,
Once a thumbnail is generated for a file windows stores it independently, and no longer relies on the Shell Extension to generate that thumbnail until the file is modified. Please with the Viewer uninstalled try moving one of those files to a new folder and the thumbnail preview should disappear.
And if you want to clear the thumbnails cache please check e.g. this article:
