Is there a way to get PDF X-Change to recognize an e-mail address in a PDF and have it open a new outlook e-mail to that address when I click it?
Thanks

Hi Craig,
if the email address is complete in the form of name@fullyqualified.domain then the Viewer will dynamically interpret that as a mailto:name@fullyqualified.domain and launch the default system email client. Do note that it must be properly registered as the default Simple MAPI client. Outlook should be fine with that.
Of course you can also set a link explicitly using the link tools and a 'mailto:' target.
I ope that helps.

When I right click on an email address I only want the email address and not the mailto: portion? Is it possible to change the behavior so that when one right clicks on an email address in the pdf that one can get the standard edit menu?

Hi justenglabs,
Thanks for the post and welcome to the forums - when a URL or email address is placed into the Viewer, it will automatically be recognized and a link created, if the option is turned on in the preferences (for comments, this will only happen once they've been flattened). If you don't want these to be automatically created and want to just have the plain, selectable text, then go to Edit --> Preferences --> Page Display and deselect the option to "Create links from URLs".
Cheers, hope that helps!
