I have a PDF that the NYC DOB created (here: http://www.nyc.gov/html/dob/downloads/pdf/pw1.pdf)
If i use only Adobe products to edit the fields in the document, subsequent openings and editings of the fields works fine.
Similarly, if i use only PDF X-Change Viewer to edit the fields in the document, subsequent openings and editings of the fields works fine.
But once i edit any of the fields in PDF XChange Viewer and then open them in an Adobe product something happens to the fields where, if you then open it in Acrobat, the fields are blanked out until you click them. when you click any field, you can see the data you entered, but once you leave the field, it goes back to being blank.
It's almost as if PDFXCV does something with the stacking order of the fields and moved the background on top of the text. PDFXCV reads the file fine, but crossing over to another PDF reader/editor renders the fields blank (until you click on them). This is a problem when we send out the edited PDF to other parties and they open it and it's all blank.
Would appreciate if anyone could try this and verify what i'm seeing. I'm using the latest version of PDFXCV and Acrobat 8 and X.

Re: PDF XChange Viewer Alters Forms (vs. Acrobat)
Hello Owen Iverson,
Welcome to our forums and thanks for the post and sample file.
I've checked the file. It seems like an XFA form issue. We will investigate this in a bit more details and will post back here in this topic as soon as further information is available.
Best,
Stefan

Thanks for the speedy reply Stefan - i also notified the creator of the form at the New York City Department of Buildings and gave him a link to this forum thread.
