Quite often I open 2 pdf-documents side by side (in 2 instances of the PDF-XChange Viewer) in order to compare their text in different languages. Lets' say a document E(nglish) and a document G(erman).
In this case, for one of the documents (I think it is usually the one I close first) the restoring of the last viewed page does not work correctly. For example when I stopped reading at page 25 and the second time at page 33 (for both documents), after closing document E (and then document G) document E will open the next (third) time again at page 25 (and not 33). This happens a couple of times and only after some attempts the correct restore at page 33 works.
This happens to me with different documents. So it is not a specific problem of a certain document.
Some times ago I had reported a similar problem when only one document was opened (s. https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/ ... 35&t=13891 ). But this issue was solved with your help. Restoring of the last viewed page works fine in this case. The new problem must have to do with the fact that two documents are open at the same time (and closed one after another).
I use version 2.5 (Build 207.0) of the Viewer and Windows 7 (32bit).
My settings concerning the restore are still the same as described in the above mentioned thread. The number of "Maximum of Documents in Recents" also remained at 40.
It would be fine if you could help me. Thanks in advance.
Restoring of last viewed page when two documents were opened

Re: Restoring of last viewed page when two documents were op
Hi Peter,
this is because the Viewer saves these settings when it is closed. If you have the two documents open in a single instance then when you close the Viewer it will 'remember' the position etc of each open document. When you have multiple instances it is only the last instance being closed that triggers this save of information. This means that it will save only what it knows in that last instance to be closed.
