Mathematical problem with v2.5.208

Post by Tsimmes »

Using a fillable form from our extended health care provider, I fill in medical expenses and the dollar cost for prescription drugs, chiropractic therapy etc. The newest version of PDF-XChange Viewer 2.5.208 will not total the dollar costs at the bottom of the column buts places meaningless letters instead of a dollar total. This has always worked accurately in the past. I've uninstalled v2.5.208 and reinstalled v2.5.207 and the columns are totaled perfectly once again, providing a running total as I add new dollar figures. Using fully updated Windows XP SP3. Please advise.

Hi Tsimmes,

Welcome to the forums and thanks for the post! Could I please get you to upload a copy of the file, packaged in a .zip folder, so that I can test this here? If I can re-create the issue, I'll make an Internal Development Ticket out for this issue!

Cheers!

Thanks for your reply. It's a proprietary Blue Cross form and I'm not clear on whether or not I'd be allowed to upload it. Something in your code must have changed because I can't reproduce the problem in 2.5.206 or 2.5.207—only in 2.5.208. The fillable math sum also works fine with Adobe Reader.

Hi Tsimmes,

Thanks for getting back to me! I completely understand but, unfortunately, without the document, I'm unable to take this further, as it needs to be reproduced and looked at by our Dev. Team. If you have any other, non-proprietary forms that display the same behaviour, they will work just as well too.

Cheers, let me know!

I'm having the same exact problem with a form from the state of NH. The math works fine in .207 but does not work at all in .208. Here is a link to the form to test.

Code: Select all

http://www.courts.state.nh.us/forms/nhjb-2036-dfs.pdf
While you fix the problem where can I download a copy of the .207 to revert my software?

Thanks,
Marc

Hi North County,

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forums!

I've tested the file out, and can confirm that it doesn't work as it should! I've made a ticket out for this, and would expect that a fix for the issue will be included within the next build of the Viewer.

Thanks for file too!

HTH!
