Paging issue - text lines sometimes unreadable at edges

Post by fergicide »

First, thank you for an amazing program.

One problem I have is reading screenplay PDFs. These follow a standard layout, about 50 - 60 lines of courier font text per page. When reading in continuous page mode, sometimes a line of text does not clear the bottom window border. When I page down, that line will now be at the top window border, also semi obscured. I have to tap the arrow-down/up key a few times to bring the line up or down to make it visible and readable within the viewing window.

Here is an example. This is a page where the bottom line is half obscured.

After pressing the page-down button, the same line moves to the top of screen, and it's still obscured and unreadable!

Acrobat handles this better by always allowing for a small region of overlap when paging through a document, so that a line obscured at the bottom edge of the window will always be fully visible at the top edge after you page down.

Thank you.

Hi fergicide,

I see your point. I have made a note of this in the wish list for future features so this may be looked at in the future. In the meanwhile I would suggest, at least as a work around, either adjusting the zoom size or the Window size a little so that it fits between the lines in each page down.
