specific hyperlink question

Post by frascati »

Winxppro and pdfxchange pro.

I'm trying to insert hyperlinks to photobucket thumbnail images that are online. I copy the "html thumblink" code from photobucket and paste into pdfxchange and hoped that pdfxchange would simply recognize the formatting and produce a blue font hyperlink. Did not happen.

There are threads and comments here regarding hyperlinks but none seem to apply to my simple question.

Frustratingly, extremely, there is literally nothing in the help files or FAQs regarding hyperlinks despite the boast at pdfxchange's download site that this is an option.

Anyone point me to a tutorial on this please?

Hi frascati,

Thanks for the post - please see the following KB article on the subject for a detailed walkthrough:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... a-document

As to why it can't do this automatically; this is because it pastes the link as comment, so it won't recognize the link unless you 'tell' it to via the Link Tool. Should there be a link in the body of the PDF (not as a comment, but the actual, base content) it will automatically recognize it, as long as it has either the "www." or "http://" string in front.

HTH!
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.
