re-installed, now cannot save document

Post by mgh »

I just re-installed my OS (Windows 7), so had to re-install my scanner software and my PDF-Xchange software. Before doing this I was able to save my PDF documents, now I cannot. Surprised that I could not find a topic here when I searched, and could not find anything when I did a Google search.

I set "Set Document Save Method" to "Always Save Full". Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? Or is this possibly a setting on my scanner that I have missed?

Thanks for any help

edit - I can use file/save, but cannot use the save icon on the toolbar.

Hi mgh,

if you can use file --> save then it suggests that there isn't really an issue saving the documents to the file system.

When you say that the Save Icon doesn't work what are you seeing? If it's grayed out that usually means that there are not yet any changes to the document to save. What are the symptoms you are seeing? Is there an error message?
Best regards

You have it exactly correct, the save icon was grayed out so I was unable to use it. When I made changes, it was available to use. I did not remember that being the case before.

Thank you very much for the help.
