While filling out many PDF forms daily there is a really annoying issue that drives me mad. If I save a document and open it next time I can't complete my last input. The entered text just disappears if I click on the field and there is no way to preserve my work. I hope the pics help to see the problem:
Writing some very long text:
As long I don't close the file I can edit the field:
But if I want to finish it later and click the field after opening the file again, the data gets blanked when clicking the field:
This is so tiring that I have to use the Adobe Reader (even if I hate this unsafe bloatware) just to save my time. Foxit has the same "feature" of blanking previous inputs so my only hope is that it will be fixed soon or that there is a hidden setting that turns it off. An option to reset all form fields would also be great.
welcome to the forums and thanks for the post. I would expect that this is specific to certain forms. Can you send us the form to investigate? You would need to put it in a zip or other archive so the forum software doesn't strip the post.
If there is sensitive information on the form that you'd prefer not be in the public like this forum then you can email it to support@pdf-xchange.com and we will respect the confidential nature of your form.
If you can't do either then please try opening the form in the Beta of the new PDF-XChange Editor. There have been improvements recently in there for form handling. https://www.pdf-xchange.com/company/new ... s/view/120

Thanks for the quick reply!
T1.pdf is not editable with the latest version (210). I just tried out the beta of the editor and it works even with T1.pdf.
Only problem is that field data entered with v3 won't show up when opening in v2 again. That also happens with form T2.pdf.
Should I already switch to v3? Is there any ETA for the release? Will this issue be fixed in v2?
