JavaScript - Global Set Persistant

Post by clarkes sheet metal »

I have noticed that your version of Javascript does not support the "global.setPersistent" command in Javascript that Adobe allows for.
Any possibility of adding that to a future version to make PDF-XChange viewer more javascript compatible?

Or it there some setting that currently enables that option?

Hello clarkes sheet metal,

Yes that's true, and I've asked our devs to take a look at this topic and comment on if/when we could support this.
In the mean time have you tried our PDF-X Editor (still in beta):
www.tracker-software.com/pdfxve3
And see if it supports this method already?

Best,
Stefan

It looks like PDF-Exchange Editor also does not support the JavaScript Global.Set Persistant.
This is a nice java command as it allows data variables to be saved and loaded automatically when the document is opened.

I love the PDF-Exchange products, and would like to see this supported in the JavaScript engine.

Hi clarkes sheet metal,

Thanks for checking. So I will leave this with our devs now and we will post back here as soon as we have any further comments.

Cheers,
Stefan
