2 colour line tool

We are looking to use this software for marking up engineering drawings but would like to use the same style of line to represent the same thing on all drawings, e.g. solid blue is always a water pipe. However, there are about 50+ different lines that we would like to use. Is there a way to have some of the dotted lines shown in 2 colours, i.e red dash - blue dash - red dash - blue dash?

Thanks for the post - there certainly is! To do this, first make sure that the properties toolbar is enabled (hit Ctrl+E), then select the settings that you want from the options that pop up. (see attached screen-shot)

Hi Will, thanks for the quick reply. Sorry but my post was unclear, as we have found that part of the software which is great. But as we are looking at so many different type of lines we were looking to see if we could get a single dashed line that went blue - red - blue - red etc. Hope that is clearer?

Sorry that I didn't catch that, and thanks for clarifying - I am afraid that you can't have a two colored dash as this color is stored as a single value, and the PDF specification doesn't allow it to be otherwise. We follow the PDF Specification to the letter, so I'm afraid that it's not some thingthat we can look into either.
