Flatten files when saving

Post by collarman »

How can I flatten a file to prevent someone from copying my signature, or making changes to the file without having to "print to pdf" everytime?
I have this ability on my ipad with a program- The program prompts you when you send a file asking if
1) do you want it flattened (non editable)
2) do you want it to show annotations

Hi Collarman,

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forums!

This can be done by going to Comments --> Flatten Comments. Alternately, you could go to File --> Document Properties --> Security then set security restrictions that stop users from being able to anything that you don't want them to do.
(You could even do both!)

Hope that helps!
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.
