Creating TIFF files is not possible

Hello,

i have a problem with the X-Change PDF Viewer.

We have to create TIFF files from some PDF files. We do this with following workaround:

- open pdf file in xchange viewer
- open the printer dialoge box and select our pdf printer (pdf24)
- in this printer software you can select the output format TIFF

Now we had two PDF files and it was not possible to create a TIFF file. The first pdf has 3 black stipes from the top to the bottom and the other one was just white.

I thought it is a problem with the PDF24 printer but it isnt. I tested the same pdf file with the same workaround with the foxit pdf viewer and the tiff files look great.

Then i make another test. i opened the two pdf files in xhcange pdf viewer and selected the pdf24 printer and saved the pdf in pdf. Same problem.

With the foxit pdf viewer there is no problem, so i think there is a problem between the pdf file and the xchange viewer.

The problem is, i can not upload the pdf files in the forum because they are confidential.
It would be great if someone can help me with this problem.

EDIT: we use version 2.5 (Build 208.0) and i tested it with the latest original 2.5 version

I attached 2 screenshots. the black bars are only for the privacy.
the original PDF.jpg shows the pdf in the xhcange pdf viewer
the tiff.jpg shows the created tiff file with the 3 black stripes

EDIT2: Ok i figured out that pdf xchange viewer has a own export function to export a tiff file. This is perfect and i can forget the workaround THX!

While reading your post I was thinking how I will point out that our Viewer has it's own export to images feature, and then right at the end in Edit 2 you figured this out yourself

Glad that it's working properly, and as for the "printing" issue - we are aware that some files could cause problems when printed through our Viewer, and that's why we are fully rewriting it's printing engine. For the moment if you need to directly print a PDF to a hardware printer and you get these black lines, just go back to the Viewer and in the Print dialogue window click the "Print as images" checkbox.

with the option "print as picture" the workaround with the pdf24 printer is working too.
