Page Scaling when Printing...
We have been using the portable version of PDF-Xchange and have some forms in a landscape format. When the print dialog opens, the Page Scaling section does not have the "Auto-rotate sheets" checked. In another computer I have the installed version and there it does open with the check mark. What would I need to do to get the portable version to also open the print dialog to have this checked?

Hello dzimmman,
There shouldn't be any major differences between the portable and stand alone Viewer. Please make sure that both are the same build - and if any of the two is older than 2.5.210 - you can download an updated version from here:

I did check this and made sure that both were the latest version. The difference remains, the installed version has the "Auto-rotate sheets" checked, while the portable does not when printing the same document.

Hi dzimmman,
You could try renaming the Settings.dat file to Settings.tmp. This will create another Settings.dat file, and may help to solve the problem.
Cheers, let me know!

Thanks for the idea, but it did not change the result. Still not setting the Auto-rotate check box.

Hello dzimmman,
Could you please send us a screenshot of the print preview window of the portable Viewer?
Also if possible send us a copy of your file, and if it's not suitable for sharing in a forum - you can send it to support@pdf-xchange.com with a link back to this topic.
Best,
Stefan

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the file! Ahh - I assumed you do not have this option there at all!
Yes this setting is not turned on by default but you should be able to click the checkbox and turn it on yourself. Then after you print one document like this, restart the Viewer, and from now on this option should be remembered as ON until you change it again and print a file with the changed setting.
Best,
Stefan
