Upcoming PDF XChange Editor Unmovable Text Entry Fields?

Will the upcoming PDF XChange Editor finally incorporate the long-awaited unmovable form text entry field feature?

I'm not sure exactly what this feature is. Can you elaborate or give us a reference to where is has been discussed/requested?

I am referring to PDF forms with fillable text entry fields that cannot be moved around by the end user filling out the PDF's fillable text entry form fields. These are PDF forms similar to the IRS's downloadble PDF tax forms where the filer can enter the data into a selectable text entry field but cannot move the text entry field within the form. PDF forms created with the Tracker software up to this point, although allowing me to create form text fields, cannot make the fillable text fields static on the form such that the end-user filling out the text entry fields could not select the fillable fields and move them around in the form. I was told a few years ago that Tracker was working on a form editor that allowed for the creation of static form fillable fields. My question was whether or not this is a feature of this form creation editor. I did not see this capability listed as an upcoming feature in this editor.

Hi,

we will be releasing a forms designer later this year as an optional plug-in which will do as required to non secured forms that do not prohibit such behaviour - as always any content protected by the author who has designated any content as non editable or copyable etc - will be protected as all our products always respect authors copyright etc.

The Plug-in technology built into the Editor is also being released as a developer toolkit this summer, so our Software Developer clients of which there are many 1000's already will be able to offer 3rd party plug-ins to extend the functionality beyond the standard options available and we are hopeful this will lead to many new and exciting features for all to benefit from.
