PDF-XChange Viewer and security issues

Post by decibelle »

Can anyone tell me if the PDF-XChange Viewer avoids exposing the user to the security risks of PDF files that Adobe Reader has? I know that Sumatra is safe, because it has so few features, but PDF-XChange Viewer has more features, so is it less safe?

Thanks,
Ellen

Security is a complex issue, as I'm sure you are aware. We develop our applications with security in mind and respond to bug reports in a timely manner. It is extraordinarily unlikely that we would expose the user to the same security risks as Adobe because our code base is 100% unique from theirs.
