I apologize for being a bit dopey, but I have tried. I'm using W7 Premium and the latest FF with PDF-XChange Viewer 2.5.210.
Until recently, I had my Menu Bar and other Tool Bars showing. I'll try to describe what is now showing.
Whatever doc. I try to display, the general background is all dark. At the top of the screen, in one line, from the LHS I have a Toggle Slider, a couple of Page Arrows, a Page Box, Automatic Zoom in the Middle, and on the RHS I have a Switch to Presentation Mode Button, a Print Button, a Download Button and A Current View (copy or open in a new window) Button.
Please, how do I get back (and if possible, make it the default situation) my Main Menu and Toolbars?
Many Thanks....
The Amazing Disappeared Menu Bar and Tool Bars.

Hi Mavrik89,
take a look at this article, it could simply be that you have toggled off your toolbars: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgeba ... isappeared
If you still have issues send us a screen shot. http://www.docu-track.com/knowledgebase ... to-support Zip up the file so the forum software doesn't reject it.
let me know how that goes.

Re: The Amazing Disappeared Menu Bar and Tool Bars.
Hi Paul,
Greetings and Salutations from Down Under.
I really appreciate your super-prompt reply. In searching our forums I had discovered this possible solution you've indicated and tried it already.
Unfortunately it didn't work in my situation. I should point out that when I launch the PDF-XChange Viewer from the Shortcut on my Desktop I get the wanted Viewer with the relevant Menu and Toolbars, and the F8, F9 and F11 keys work faultlessly on that launched Viewer.
However, when I click on a link in the ordinary course of doing things and the PDF-XChange Viewer is launched from there, the resulting Viewer I get (ie the one I don't want - the unholy, demonized one without the Menu and Toolbars), then the 3 Function Keys work differently. The F8 and F9 yield no result but the F11 Key has the result that the document stretches and takes up the whole screen (similar to pressing the Presentation Mode Button on my maverick Viewer)
I hope this makes sense and I have included my Snipper Tooled version of my maverick screen.
Very Much Looking Forward to a Perfectly Operating Viewer!
George (Mavrik89)

Hi Maverick,
regards
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "in the ordinary course of doing things" - does this mean double clicking a PDF file in a folder in Windows Explorer (Not IE but the file explorer that you use to look at My Documents etc) What is the default application in there? If you right click a PDF in there and select Open With --> Choose Default Program and make sure PDF-Xchange Viewer is your default do you still get this issue? It almost sounds like it is another Viewer launching. However, when I click on a link in the ordinary course of doing things and the PDF-XChange Viewer is launched from there, the resulting Viewer I get (ie the one I don't want - the unholy, demonized one without the Menu and Toolbars), then the 3 Function Keys work differently.
I'm hoping that this was an attempt to upload a screen shot? It didn't come through - should ne a zip file please. I'm keen to see what you are seeing.and I have included my Snipper Tooled version of my maverick screen.
regards

Hi Paul,
The 7-zip didn't work for me so I uploaded the photo to a Photobucket account, here's the link:

As you can see, both toolbars are missing.
Thanks!
George

Hi George,
Thanks for the image. This looks as a completely different Viewer and is not ours. Is there any built in tool for previewing PDFs inside your browser? Or maybe you have other PDF Viewing products installed on your machine and it's that other product's browser add-in that is used?
Best,
Stefan

Here is the correct link to download and install our current full PDF-XChange Viewer - which once installed you will see is very different to the image you show;
www.tracker-software.com/PDFXVwer.zip
www.tracker-software.com/PDFXVwer.zip
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Re: The Amazing Disappeared Menu Bar and Tool Bars.
Hi Paul and Stefan and John,
I want to thank you all for your efforts. I think I've cracked it (quite by accident).
I still have no idea where that horror of a Viewer I was using came from or whether it is somehow native to my PC.
I certainly couldn't find this possessed rogue Viewer in any of my many frustrating searches. I visited Haiti once, in the 70's. Could there be a connection?
Quite by accident, as I said, I went to my FF/Options/Applications and there I made it my Default although I'm pretty sure it was already my default.
Again, Many Thanks Guys,
George.
