Un-Highlight all and disable again highlight mode?

Post by mattad »

2 questions concerning the "Highlight" tool:

1.) How do I un-highlight/deactivate highlight mode again?

When I click again on the highlight-icon in the toolbar it is NOT disabled.
It us still active. I think this is a bug.

2.) Assume I hightlighted in the past many text places in a pdf doc.

Now I want to plrint it out and remove all hightlights in ONE step.
Therefore I would appreciate a (new) function/menu "remove all highlights at once".
Is there such a function? I did no found it.

Hello Matt,

for 1) Simply click on another tool, or press the Esc key and you should be returned to the hand tool. Also if you have the "Keep Tool selected" option you would be able to place multiple highlights one after the other, and with this option unchecked once you make your first highlight the Viewer will automatically revert to the hand tool.

2) If all the annotations you've made on a document are the highlights, then you can simply select to not print them. Start the printing process (Ctrl-P) and near the botom select to print "Document Only".
If you have other comments and annotations as well - then before printing open the comments pane and group comments by type. You can then delete all highlights, and prit your document with the rest of the annotations.

Best,
Stefan
