In typewriter tool and text box tool I cannot see any setting to change the colour of the text or the font (for typewriter tool black/courier and text box tool red/arial).
There is also not property bar (Control + E in version 2.5x).
Are these coming or just not going to be present in Version 3.0?
Fonts, sizes and colours in version 3.0.301

They are there ....
Ensure you have all toolbars and items switched on and then select an area on your page to add text using either tool - you should then see all the familiar options to set the font styles.

Yes they are, but only after a hunt (only after noticing a tiny down arrow graphic on the toolbar).
But the option to turn on the Properites Toolbar does not exist as an option on a menu (such as in Version 2.5: View/Toolbars/Properties Toolbar).
Also it is not possible to use a shortcut key (Control + E on version 2.5) is absent (and I cannot see an option to assign or change shortcut keys as with Version 2.5).

Victor - do you ahve any thing positive to say or is it your intention to just rip this apart ?
You do realise its not the PDF-XChange Viewer - ist a different product?
Some things will change - some will stay the same and some will be added as we progress - but its frustrating to be hit by nothing but a barage of criticism.

Re: Fonts, sizes and colours in version 3.0.301
John,
I do realise that Version 3.0.301 and version 2.5 are different products. See response in another post.
But to take one point: The Typewriter Function. For me this is essentially the same function, whether in 3.0.301 and 2.5. In 2.5 it is possible to set a default of font, size, colour. This is not present in 3.0.301.
It is excellent tool and for some documents I can add 20 or 30 of them. In 3.0.301 each time I want to enter some text I need to set the font, size and colour. Having to do this 20 to 30 times is very time consuming.
I have not had a chance to look at the new things because some of the basic things such as the above (basic things for me that is) are not in version 3.0.301 at the moment.
I guess the general point is that if Tracker Software had said something such as: "Here is a new release of version 3.0. We have yet to implement X Y Z. These will be implemented in the next release or a forthcoming release (in the next few weeks)", then none of my posts would be necessary because I would know (as well as other users) what to expect when using the software. Other software companies seem to be able to do this.
To temper the criticism: What is implemented works well. And once everything is working I cannot wait to use it.
(If you want to see some fundamentally (for me) badly implemented features in PDF software, see PDF6Pro (Mac software), particularly the equivalents to the Typewriter Function and the Textbox Function. They are far more limited in functionality. And its equivalent is not compatible with Adobe. Also it is unable to handle Typewriter Function and Textbox Function entered text (and the equivalent entered with Adobe Reader) properly. See my specific criticisms: http://victorworoner.wordpress.com/)

comments noted Victor - the ability to set too default properties is being worked on now along with UI customization, shortcuts and a few more items and will be released as soon as possible and will not require a serial number change - so if your license is good now - it will be then.
