How to disable WinExplorer context menu "Open with Pdf-XChg"

When I look at the right-click Windows Explorer context menu (in 64bit Win7) for *.pdf files then there is an entry

"Open with PDf-Xchange Viewer"

How can I permanently disable it?
I found no option in PDF-Xchange Viewer Pro

I ALWAYS open *.pdf files by double clicking on them.

Hi Matt,

the Open With option is a Windows feature that cannot be managed through PDF-XChange Viewer. To be honest, I've never seen a way to do this. I think you'll have to do a little Googling to see if there is a generic way. I didn't find much that was useful when I did this, I've never heard of anyone asking this before.

Hi Paul,

I guess this entry is created when PDF XChange Veiwer is installed.
So maybe users cannot take this back from CURRENT XChange Viewer GUI.
But that doesn't mean that it can't be reverted programmatically.

Maybe this hiding can by implemented in the next release by offering a checkbox option
"remove from WinExplorer context menu"

to be honest I would need to talk to one of the devs to see how this is done. No promises as to the results at this point however.

Strange.. It works for me, on Win7.x64 system also.. May be your system forbids changing the registry by *reg files..
Please try to remove one value from system's registry:
1. run the regedit.exe
2. go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PDF-XChangeViewer.1\shell\open
and clear the "(Default)" value on the right pane (it may contain "Open with PDf-Xchange Viewer" before clearing)
