typewriter/hand tool

Previously, the typewriter tool would remain selected until another one was selected. Recently, after each time I use the typewriter tool it jumps to the hand tool. So, if I want to type on multiple spots on the slide, I have to select the typewriter tool each time.

Is there a way to change it back to remaining selected? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forums! To do this, first make sure that you have the properties toolbar enabled (if you do and you have something like the hand tool selected, you'll see "Properties" at the bottom left of the toolbar. If you don't see this, then hit Ctrl + B to enable it. Next, with the textbox/typewriter tool selected, make sure that the "Keep Tool Selected" button is active.
