Hi,
I'm getting following error message as soon as I launch "PDF-XChange Tools 4.0" shortcut.
Error: [Application] The import sources are not found.Please select a valid import/scan source and try again....
Clicking on OK is allowing me to do my task. Wanna to get rid of this annoying message.
Any help is appreciated.

Hello anilyakkala,
This is an error message which you should see only when you attempt to create new PDF files from scanner, and there's no scanner attached to your system, and not when you launch the PDF Tools.
Please make sure that you have the latest PDF Tools build, and if it's not 4.0 Build 210, then please download and install it from here:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads
(you can check the version number by starting PDF Tools and then goign to Preferences -> About)

Hi Stefan,
Apologies for not making my query clear.
Error message appears after selecting tool "Scan Direct" and then cliking on Start button.
I'm seeing this error message only after upgrading from XChange Pro 4 to 5.0.262. It used to work fine previously.
Does this require scanner to be attached directly?

Hello anilyakkala,
Yes you need to have a scanning device connected to your PC.
Also if you are on 64 bit windows, and your scanner drivers are 32 bit only (the majority of them are), then please also take a look at this KB article:
