Feature Request - Enhancing OCR Text Selection

Many of our employees are looking for an easy way to vertically select text.

Let's say they OCR'd a table. When using the Text Selection tool, the text is selected horizontally (row-by-row).

Can we possibly enhance this function by making it easier to draw boxes around the text they want to select. This function does currently exist, but you are only given the option to draw boxes when your cursor isn't on any text to begin with.

Maybe the Text Selection tool could switch to drawing a box when the Ctrl or Shift button is held down?

This would allow for much more precise selection of text when needed.
