Hi there,
I love PDF-Xchange viewer. I mark up dozens of PDFs for every project.
I categorise and retrieve information from large PDFs. So I created custom comment styles in the Custom Styles Palette with specific Subjects, e.g. Red highlights are "Risks". PDF-XChange copies highlighted text into the comment. So I can group all important information by topic, wherever it appears in the file, and even export it to Word. It's amazing!
However, I have lots of files for each project. Is there a way to view or export all the comments under a custom topic across multiple files? e.g. see all the "Risks" highlighted in file 1 + file 2 + file 3 in the same place?
Thanks,
Matt

Re: Exporting and consolidating comments from multiple files
Hi Matt,
thanks for the post and question.
Indeed there is a way to export your comments and import them. In the Viewer go Comments --> Export Comments to Data File... This will create an .fdf file with your comments information. You can on your other files use Comment --> Import Comments --> Your .fdf files.
It is important to understand that the PDF format is based around a coordinate structure. Your comments, when imported, will be placed at the page and location they were on in the original. I think this is what you are looking for anyway right?
