PDF to DWG conversion

Post by Boise12345 »

I get pdf files that I use as trace objects for my projects. I load the PDF's into a drafting software and trace the building outline after I scale the sheet. I have to feehand measure this and it is not efficient. I would like to be able to convert the PDF's to something "vectored" such as DWG so I can "Snap" to all the corners of the walls. Drafting software will let me import PDF, DWG, DWF and I think DFX.

Can you please provide any assistance/guidance.

Much appreciated.

Hi Boise12345,

there is nothing in our product range that can take a PDF and convert it to a vector CAD format. There are snap tools and a grid in the Viewer but these do not snap to lines on a PDF.

I'm not sure what we can do to help you here. Is there something specific you want from our Viewer that I just don't understand? If you import a PDF to a CAD program then that's out of our realm.

:-)
