License / maintenance / and other questions

Post by auser »

Hi, 9/26/11

I couldn't find a section where I thought this would fit, so I'll just post here.

The "Your Products and Serial Numbers" tab on the "My Account" page shows that I bought PDF-Xchange Pro 8/27/2011 and that my maintenance expired on 9/27/2012.

What would it cost me to get the newly released Editor? (The packages/products/components/versions, which ones I get, how long I get them, etc, confuses me)

How would the Editor fit into my installation? I mean, am I correct in understanding that it replaces Viewer on my computer?

Does it automatically uninstall Viewer during the install?

Does it have any features that overlap with any of the other components of my existing PDF-Xchange Pro installation?

Also, when I clicked on Extend for 1 Year, it said (on the left side) that it would expire 9/2013. That's just next month. Is that correct? Why wouldn't it be 1 year from now?

Thanks.

Hello auser,

Thanks for the post. This forum is a suitable place to post your question.

The upgrade price would depend on the type of license you have. If you have a PDF XChagne Pro license with a key beginign with PXP50- you won't have to pay anything, and if you have another license key you might need to pay a small amount to upgrade your license. Please do NOT post your actual license key here. I don't have the exact upgrade prices yet, but as soon as the Editor is released we would be able to give you a full quote for upgrading your license.

You are correct in your assumption that the Editor will replace the Viewer. All viewer features will be available in the Editor + all the new ones that we are currently working on.

I can't tell you yet how the installer will work, but you might need to uninstall the Viewer manually before installing editor - we will have the full installation instructions once the Editor is ready for release.

For your maintenance - please do e-mail us and we would be happy to provide you with a quote.

Regards,
Stefan Dzhukelov
